Hey everyone, you all know about the Facebook-scanning teachers on my last post. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I recommend you to read the previous post (Privacy Protection) under this one before you read the new one.
By the way, just 40 minutes after I posted this very controversial post, I gained over 450 blog viewers! Isn't that amazing? YES IT IS! and further more, I'm getting 15 blog views per minute! :D
Anyway, enough of my BLORAGGING (Blog Bragging) so here it goes...
Just a few hours after posting "Privacy Protection" I immediately thought of posting a new POLL regarding it. I have at-least 1 vote for "it's okay" under the question "Do you want your teachers to take over your Facebook page?" I'm assuming this ONE voter is probably a teacher. As much as I try to avoid dwelling on just one side of the story, I really can't find anything good about THEM invading your privacy like that. I mean, would you even let your friends play with your Facebook page? NO!
(if you're saying YES... You don't mean that)
But here, I have thought of some reasons why they thought of this new school rule.
1. They want to protect us from harmful stuff on the internet
2. They want to protect the school's name by preventing students from saying bad stuff on the net
3. They wanna help us keep our Christian image
4. They love us that much
5. We're not the only school who implements this
6. "Some schools even prevent the students from using facebook, let's not do that but instead OPEN it and play with it"
That's about it!
If my head were to be run over by a truck if I didn't say so... I'd say "Let's just follow the school's rules since we we're the ones who chose to enroll in it anyway. If we dislike the rules so much, then lets leave the school"
Now if you're thinking "Oh yeah! Why didn't I think of leaving the school in the first place?" Well, since the school we're referring to (anonymous academy) is a very small school, we're thinking that, since it is small, maybe it's possible to talk to the teachers and get them to change their minds about this rule. Since they're like parents who you're not afraid to reason with, we would all probably just choose the option where we can reason and stay with our beloved classmates. Not every student is willing to move out with you, so it's better to just reason with the teacher and live to see another "swimming" party with your classmates.
For now, this rule isn't 100% confirmed yet. 3 people have already claimed that they "peripherally" saw this new rule in the handbook when were enrolling. One of the students who did, is willing to go back to the school tomorrow to confirm this rule, by grabbing the handbook and studying it. Once we find out if it's fake or legit, we will let you know as soon as possible!
Cheers!
